Film review: Spring Breakers

I really wish I could tell you all this film was amazing, but sadly it was money and time wasted. It's one of those films where you could just watch the trailer and you’ve basically watched the whole film. Most of the films publicity comes from the stars in the film and not the plot. The film is about four girls -Candy, Faith, Cotty and Brit, who leave their boring lives to have a wild summer in Florida. Faith (Selena Gomez) is the quiet, religious one, Candy (Vanessa Hudgens) and Brit (Ashley Benson) are kind of the leaders in the group and Cotty (Rachel Korine) we'll.... their really was no point to her character; she was just naked for most of it. The trouble starts early when they decide to fund their trip by robbing a chicken shop with a water pistol – devolving by the end of their holiday into an all-girl hit squad for a local drug dealer (James Franco). I wasn't expecting this to be movie of the year but it got so repetitive and slow that you just got bored watching. The story wasn't going anywhere; it just showed people partying in slow motion and lots of nudity. I’d be surprised if there was even a script for this film. The best thing about the film was the music, Shrillex- scary monsters and nice sprites and big bank by Rick Ross feature in the movie. Watch the trailer below
